OUR PASTOR
The pastor should live in Jesus, Jesus should be the lover of his soul, and he should rest in the bosom of Jesus. He should give all the glory and honor to the redeemer our King. The pastor should not be the in spotlight and he should not preach himself but Christ is to be glorified, Christ is preached. Jokes and worldly humor cannot be preached in the presence of the Holy God. The pastor should be able to counsel and admonish the flock
Lev 20:26 You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.
God is holy, there fore pastor should be holy.
The word holy is to be separated from the worldly things. The church is holy because it is separated from the world.
The Lord’s Day is holy as it is separated from all the other days as it is the day for the Christians to fellowship and worship the Lord. The word of God is holy as it is above from all the others; it is separated from all the others. Jesus said, “Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:17) So the pastor who preaches the holy word of God should be holy. We are all called to be holy but the pastor is a man of God, who reveals the will of God to the people, the spokesman of God’s word and who is separated to serve the Lord.
